The Grinch Who Stole Grizzly

Written by Save Our Canyons

Every Utahn down in the valley loved the Wasatch a lot, the Grinch up at Alta just wanted to develop the spot! The Grinch hated people who enjoyed the mountains for free, preferring each person pay him a fee.

Now, please don't ask why, no one quite knows the reason, but many now think that he's guilty of treason. It could be that his head wasn't screwed on just right. Or maybe, perhaps, that his ski boots were too tight.

But we think that the most likely reason of all, was that people are feeling the Wasatch is a bit too small. So he declared from his perch, a new tram up Mt. Baldy, "If you're protecting the Wasatch you're treating me badly."

"If I can't develop these canyons with trams, tunnels, and trains, no future generations will enjoy the backcountry terrain."

So he enlisted the legislature who stole some of our monuments, not paying the Wasatch, our watershed or community any compliments. The people of Utah were both perplexed and sad, to learn that one of their favorite resorts was treating the Wasatch so bad.

So they went to the capitol with testimonies and signs saying, the Wasatch needs protection in these troubling times!

We hope that the Grinch will come to his senses, this NCRA legislation is about mending fences!
