Planned Giving
Thank you for your interest in our Planned Giving Program. Planned giving is a vital source of support for Save Our Canyons, assuring our continuing ability to protect the beauty and wildness of the Wasatch Mountains, canyons, and foothills.
The term planned giving is used to describe charitable giving through bequests, trusts, or beneficiary designation. IRA Donations
If you are age 70 ½ or older, you can contribute up to $100,000 of your IRA to charities, each year. This is done through a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD). You can avoid paying income taxes on your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) and with fewer tax payers itemizing deductions it’s a great way to donate.
