Sam was raised in Salt Lake City and is currently finishing his Bachelor of Science in Environmental Sciences at the University of Utah. Throughout Sam’s degree, he has worked on various community engagement advocacy projects with groups such as the Navajo Nation and the University of Utah Hartland Community Center to provide information to push for environmental justice. From a young age, he was emersed in the outdoor community and culture of the Wasatch Mountains. Sam spent time in advocacy groups with his dad from an early age which led him to have a passion for conservation and advocation for the wilderness. He spent most of his childhood years recreating with his family in all different parts of Utah, which has continued into adulthood. When Sam isn't advocating for the Wasatch, you'll find him spending his time outdoors, cycling, and split boarding till his legs fall off.
