Enjoy a pint while supporting local conservation efforts! A portion of beer sales will go toward protecting the Wasatch—raise a glass for a great cause. While you're here, learn about what Save Our Canyons will be on the lookout for during the 2025 Utah Legislative Session. Here is a glance!
- Little Cottonwood Canyon Gondola: SOC is closely monitoring efforts to fast-track funding and permits for the proposed gondola, which threatens to privatize public lands, disrupt ecosystems, and benefit private resorts under the guise of transportation solutions.
- Parley’s Canyon Mining Project: A proposed 634-acre gravel pit could scar Wilderness-quality lands. We’re watching for legislation affecting water availability, air quality and local authority over mining ordinances and permits.
- Watershed Protections: Potential rollbacks to Central Wasatch watershed protections could jeopardize water quality and drinking water sources for millions along the Wasatch Front.
- Transportation Proposals: SOC advocates for sustainable alternatives to development and transportation projects that harm wildlife habitats and water quality.
