Katie grew up minutes away from the Indiana Dunes National Park and moved to Utah after receiving her B.S. in Public Affairs from Indiana University. It didn’t take long for Katie to discover the unparalleled beauty of the Wasatch Mountains. She regularly retreats to the canyons to hike, ski, and, when she works up the courage, climb. 

Prior to joining Save Our Canyons, Katie worked in policy research and advocacy. She analyzed how international organizations, like the United Nations, impact policy-making on issues like economic development and climate change. Most recently, Katie worked with elected officials and nonprofits throughout Utah on legislation to strengthen the nonprofit sector. 

When she’s not advocating for the Wasatch, you’ll find Katie somewhere up in the mountains, climbing at the gym, or at her local Trader Joe’s.
