When Save Our Canyons launched the Wasatch Stewardship Program (WSP) in 2018, the goal was clear: empower community members to take direct action in caring for the public lands they love. What began as a handful of volunteer cleanup events has evolved into a coordinated, multi-canyon effort engaging hundreds of stewards across the Wasatch each year. Now, 7 years later, WSP has grown into one of Save Our Canyons’ cornerstone initiatives. Linking education, advocacy, and hands-on projects to build a stronger culture of stewardship throughout the Wasatch Mountains.

2025 Season at a Glance

The 2025 Wasatch Stewardship Program ran from May through October, activating volunteers across the Wasatch. Instead of measuring success by the number of events alone, the program evaluated impact through engagement, diversity, and lasting outcomes.
