On June 24th, community volunteers and Save Our Canyons went to the Thayne’s Canyon Trailhead in Millcreek Canyon for a post-holiday cleanup of the day-use recreation sites in the area. Prepared with garbage bags and shovels, we spent multiple hours cleaning out the fire pits of ash and garbage. We found 1 hot fire pit and used stream water to extinguish the coals. We covered all of the Boxelder, Thaynes, and Church Fork sites.
This area tends to be a frequent project of ours, as it is very busy during the summer season and needs lots of love after big holiday weekends.
