2025 Wasatch Stewardship Program – Community Garbage Cleanup At Tibble Fork Reservoir + additional hands at Little Dell with Salt Lake Public Utilities.
On Saturday, June 21st, Save Our Canyons and community volunteers spent a few hours doing a spring cleaning at Tibble Fork Reservoir in American Fork Canyon. After the session, a respective amount of garbage and debris was collected. This area receives a high level of visitation and needs lots of love throughout the year.
Over the course of two hours, four community members showed up ready to work. Gloves on, garbage bags in hand, they combed through the parking lot, along the roadside, up the nearby trails, and through the wooded edges around the reservoir to remove every bit of litter they could find.
Much of what was collected was the usual assortment: candy wrappers, cans, and forgotten gear.
We also had a volunteer who lent a hand with Salt Lake Public Utilities over near Little Dell Reservoir along I-80 to help them remove a large section of Invasive Thistle.

Tibble Fork Reservoir is one of the most visited recreation areas in Utah County. Cleanups like this are crucial acts of stewardship, helping to maintain the health, safety, and beauty of these places.
