On May 22nd, community volunteers and Save Our Canyons went to the Thayne’s Canyon Trailhead in Millcreek Canyon for a post-holiday cleanup of the day-use recreation sites in the area. Prepared with garbage bags and shovels, we spent multiple hours cleaning out the fire pits of ash and garbage. We covered all of the Boxelder, Thaynes, and Church Fork sites.
Every season, we try to make it back to this area as it sees lots of traffic through the summer, and we want to make sure it’s prepared and ready for the visitors.
