Lone Peak Celebration a wild success! Thank you!

I don’t know how to express my deep gratitude for your support on Saturday other than just coming right out and saying it: Thank You!

Thanks to you our Lone Peak Celebration was a smashing success. With your help, we raised over $37,000 to ensure SOC remains an effective voice for the conservation of the Wasatch Range. Click HERE to check out the event sponsors, attendee photos and more.

Knowing that we have some of the most dedicated and passionate supporters in the state we set a number of lofty goals for Saturday’s Lone Peak event. And wow, we not only met these goals, but we rocketed past them. If our goals were an unclimbed peak then you, our dear members, were Conrad Anker skillfully finding the summit; you were the Tommy Caldwell to our Dawn Wall of fundraising and attendance goals.

In short, you were amazing!

I believe I speak for the staff and board of Save Our Canyons when I say that we couldn’t be more grateful or more humbled by your support for Save Our Canyons and your passion for protecting the wildness and beauty of the Wasatch.

Now to mobilize the support and camaraderie we built together at Lone Peak into protecting the Wasatch by pushing Mountain Accord past the finish line and shoring up policy protections before the County Council and Mountainous Planning District.

Thank you, and onward!

Sincerely,

Carl Fisher

PS – Special thanks to Utah Slim and Lise Brunhart for the fantastic music; to Mazza, Redrock Brewing, and Beehive Distillery for the delectable food and drink; to Black Diamond, Patagonia, Kuhl, Voile, and Ramp for sponsoring; and to Donna and Mike Weinholtz for assistance in making student tickets available. And finally, thank you to everyone who donated to our silent auction and to the amazing volunteers who contributed to the evening’s success.
