On August 13th the Salt Lake Tribune published an editorial “A Bad Diehl: County Purchase Was A Mistake,” bringing to light the latest dealings between Terry Diehl and Salt Lake County. While this isn’t the first time County Councilman Horiuchi has gotten the County to help Diehl out, it seems the Tribune was quick to forget that in 2003 Terry Diehl got approval from the County for an access road to a development at the mouth of Big Cottonwood Canyon. Save Our Canyons Board President, Gale Dick set things straight by submitting a correction reminding readers the access road is there, a prominent and unsightly scar on the side of the mountain for all to see.
