Save Our Canyons is primarily funded by the generous financial contributions from its members. Sign up to become a member of Save Our Canyons today and you will receive a Save Our Canyons bumper sticker, our quarterly newsletters and appeals, event mailings, and important issues updates. You also have the satisfaction of being part of a powerful grassroots organization; one that is strongly committed to protecting the Wasatch. Our momentum is growing and our focus is strong. Become a member and join our efforts to protect the beauty and wildness of the Wasatch canyons, mountains, and foothills.
BECOME A VOLUNTEER!
Save Our Canyons could not operate without the help of it's dedicated volunteers. As a volunteer, you will receive approximately two emails per month (and the occasional phone call), where we will tell you about upcoming volunteer opportunities. You will also get the chance to meet and work with other volunteers and the staff/board of SOC! It's a great way to have fun while helping protect the Wasatch!
We have a variety of volunteer-related activities, including:
Helping out at the SOC table during events like Farmer's Market
Office help with data entry, stuffing/labeling envelopes and newsletters, etc.
Events help during annual fundraiser and memership events
Joining us at Trail Days to repair some of the most heavily used trails in the Wasatch (18+)
Cleaning up the BCC highway as part of the Adopt-a-Highway program (18+)
LEARN ABOUT THE ISSUES!
There are numerous ways to get involved with specific issues and projects. Writing letters to public officials or sending a letter to the editor of your local newspaper are some examples. Before you write that letter though, it's important that you are informed on the issues and you know how to properly draft the letter.
