Trail Work-Bonneville Shoreline Trail

Team up with SOC and the Wasatch Mountain Club for a day of trail work on the Bonneville Shoreline Trail in Salt Lake City, organized by the Bonneville Shoreline Trail Committee. The Steiner Centennial Section of the BST is the most heavily used section of the BST trail system, which will some day run from the Idaho border to Santaquin. The trail is in need of some significant maintenance work to repair and prevent erosion.

All necessary tools and supervision will be provided by the Bonneville Shoreline Trail Committee and the Cottonwood Canyons Foundation. We will meet for a short training session at 8 AM, and will work until 1 PM.  Work may include grading, deberming,  installing erosion barriers, and trimming back vegetation.

Long pants and closed toe sturdy boots or shoes are required. You should also bring work gloves, sunglasses and a hat. Please bring plenty of water and a snack to keep your energy up.

Participants should be over the age of 16 and in good physical health to participate in trail maintenance. Please arrive early for mandatory safety training.
